Job summary

Sheakley is seeking a Site EHS Representative to support multiple Washington, DC metro area construction projects. You will act as on-site safety resource, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EM385 and project-specific requirements, while promoting a culture of safety.

The role involves field observations, inspections, audits, and safety reporting in collaboration with project teams, managers and subcontractors. Travel within the DC area and occasional night hours may be required.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification required.
• OSHA 510 certification required.
• EM385 certification or ability to obtain.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
• 3+ years construction safety experience.
• Experience conducting site inspections and safety observations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Perform field observations and document findings.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM385, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Provide safety training and toolbox talks.
• Develop and maintain safety documentation and reports.
• Communicate corrective actions and follow up on implementation.
• Partner with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
• Support safety initiatives across multiple active projects.
• Promote a positive and collaborative safety culture.
