Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Safety Manager in Washington, DC to oversee safety across multiple active construction projects. This role requires strong field presence, coordination of on-site safety reps, and hands-on safety program leadership.

The position emphasizes OSHA/EM 385 compliance, incident investigations, and collaboration with project managers to sustain a proactive safety culture across federal, military, commercial, and mission-critical projects in the DC region.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification required.
• EM 385-1-1 Training/Certification required.
• Current First Aid/ CPR/ AED Certification required.
• Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• Previous safety management experience required.
• Experience managing multiple construction sites simultaneously.
• Experience leading accident and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership across multiple active construction projects.
• Manage and mentor onsite safety representatives assigned to project sites.
• Maintain a strong field presence through routine site visits and observations.
• Develop, implement, and manage company safety programs and initiatives.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Lead accident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385, client, and project-specific requirements.
• Review JHAs/AHAs and safety plans.
