Job summary

QXO is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager – Field Operations to serve as the safety partner for our field operations across 60-70 sites. The role requires extensive travel to job sites, coaching leaders, and driving the implementation of EHS programs and standards.

You will lead hazard analyses, audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives while promoting a proactive safety culture aligned with OSHA standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in safety-related field and 3+ years of progressive EHS experience in construction/building products or field operations.
• Experience conducting field audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments in active construction environments.
• Strong communication and training skills with a track record of coaching frontline teams and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional EHS leader supporting field operations across 60–70 sites.
• Travel regularly to job sites for safety assessments, audits, and coaching.
• Ensure consistent implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and standards.
• Lead risk assessments, JHAs, and preventive actions to reduce incidents.
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions with persistence and rigor.
• Promote a proactive safety culture aligned with OSHA standards and company policies.
