Job summary

Ceres Environmental Operations is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Associate I to support field operations, ensure compliance with safety programs, and meet OSHA/EPA/asbestos regulations. This role reports to the Corporate Safety Manager and travels to project sites as required.

You will conduct inspections, deliver trainings, assist investigations, and help maintain safety documentation. The position emphasizes field leadership, hazard recognition, and a proactive safety culture across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years in occupational health and safety, construction safety, or related industries.
• OSHA 30 and HAZWOPER 40-Hr certifications; First Aid/CPR; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce safety programs and client requirements on projects.
• Conduct routine field safety inspections and audits for regulatory compliance.
• Monitor PPE use and safety practices; provide coaching in hazard recognition.
• Lead job hazard analyses and recommend corrective actions.
• Support investigations and track corrective actions; document findings.
• Prepare safety reports, incident records, and training materials.
• Deliver employee orientations and toolbox talks; assist with site training.
• Assist with client safety requirements and site safety plans.
• Monitor demolition, environmental remediation, and disaster recovery work for safe practices.
• Support asbestos abatement and environmental projects with regulatory compliance.
