Job summary

Dow in Louisiana is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (EH&S) professional to lead field-based safety initiatives and ensure compliance with Life Critical Standards in the StCharles Operations. You will coach maintenance teams, perform risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement in safety programs while collaborating with contractors and plant staff.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to train and mentor peers, and a commitment to timely safety observations,

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Operations, Maintenance Coordination, Safety Support, or similar in a manufacturing environment.
• Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain one.
• Willing to work overtime and after hours to support plant activities such as Turnarounds.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for an inclusive culture and flawless Life Critical Standards.
• Spends 50-70% of time in the field serving as a technical resource and coaching teams on EH&S tasks.
• Conducts observations, life critical standard assessments, job audits, and safety housekeeping audits.
• Proactively discuss and resolve EH&S issues with maintenance personnel and contractors.
• Leads safety meetings and participates in contractor safety programs and tailgates.
• Implements detailed, day-to-day EH&S programs per Dow's work processes.
• Ensures EH&S aspects of Maintenance Job Plans are applied in the field.
• Leads/prepares for Pre-Job reviews with Contractor Companies.
