Job summary

Management & Consulting Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Coordinator for on-site field assignments on industrial construction projects across the United States.

The role requires travel and the ability to manage contractors, schedules, and budgets while ensuring safety and compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing E&I crews, coordinating wiring, terminations, loop checks, and commissioning activities; reviewing drawings and specifications; and supporting

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in industrial-construction electrical and instrumentation work.
• Strong knowledge of power and control wiring, terminations, instrumentation, loop checks, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with NEC and industrial E&I standards.
• Ability to manage manpower and budgets on large projects.
• Ability to read electrical and instrumentation drawings, loop diagrams, and specifications.
• Attention to detail and independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• A daily presence in the field to supervise and oversee electrical and instrumentation contractors, keeping the work on schedule and under budget while maintaining safe working conditions and removing roadblocks to progress
• Coordinate cable, conduit, cable tray, terminations, instrument installation, and loop checks
• Create, review, and approve Requests for Quotation for the labor, material, and equipment needed to complete the E&I scope
• Order material and equipment, verify quantities through takeoffs, and approve contractor requisitions
• Create, maintain, and update the E&I construction schedule
• Review and monitor E&I contractor schedules, productivity, and budgets with an emphasis on QA/QC and adherence to drawings, specifications, and applicable codes
• Support construction-commissioning activities, including loop checks, energization, and creation of CCO packages
• Support all safety aspects of the construction site, including electrical safety and lockout/tagout
