Job summary

Matrix Service is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Superintendent to plan and supervise electrical and instrumentation installations for heavy industrial projects, including safety, grounding, wiring, and testing per specifications.

The role requires coordinating with crafts, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain progress and safety, while ensuring compliance with project schedules and safety standards. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in similar facility construction including technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
• 1+ years' experience supervising craft employees.
• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and supervises work activities; determines construction methods, safety procedures, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Coordinates work with different crafts, departments and subcontractors.
• Maintains liaison with safety, engineering, estimating and planning to ensure compliance with safety policies, drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Assists in resolving construction problems and safety issues; conducts accident investigations as required.
• Maintains communication with HR to resolve manpower requisitioning; monitors craft safety program adherence.
• Coordinates with Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control and Engineering to support crafts and project deadlines.
