Job summary

CF Industries is seeking an I&E Maintenance Technician to provide technical skill and guidance for Instrument & Electrical maintenance and support Sr. Coordinators with new project construction across Distribution Facilities.

The role covers design, installation, and documentation of I&E systems, supervision of contractors, and training of operations staff. A technical background with PLC/HMI, AutoCAD, and field wiring is essential, with substantial travel and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

5-10 years of experience in plant Instrument & Electrical (I&E) department or related work.
Undergraduate technical degree helpful, but not required.
Deep background in instrumentation and controls with emphasis on PLC/HMI installations (RSLogix/RS Studio).
AutoCAD experience preferred.
Hands-on experience with control panels and field wiring; instrument calibration (4-20 mA and 3-15 psi loops).
Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management (MOCs, PSSR, PHAs, LOPA) preferred.
Willingness to travel 70-80% and obtain TWIC card and passport.

Responsibilities

Provide project design, installation and documentation for I&E systems.
Install and maintain Instrument & Electrical equipment across Distribution Facilities.
Assist engineering and I&E personnel on projects.
Supervise external I&E contractors during major work.
Develop and maintain facility documentation (P&IDs, electrical prints).
Train operations staff in troubleshooting I&E equipment and safety.
