Job summary

Sigma Technologies, Ltd. seeks an experienced Power Designer for field and design work in Oklahoma. You will own the lifecycle from field data collection to construction-ready deliverables, traveling as project needs require.

This role emphasizes verifying conditions in the field to reduce handoff gaps between field and design teams. This senior position requires prior overhead pole design experience, NESC-compliant make-ready work, and the ability to work remotely when not in the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in power distribution design or make-ready engineering; 2+ years preferred.
• Experience performing utility pole walkouts and field data collection to support design work.
• Proficiency with CAD or MicroStation; DDS, Katapult, O-Calc experience preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field data collection and pole walkouts to support design decisions.
• Execute overhead distribution and make-ready designs per NESC and client standards.
• Evaluate field conditions for make-ready requirements, attachments, and pole replacements.
• Develop construction-ready design packages and end-to-end joint-use designs.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and quality teams; travel as needed.
