Job summary

Sigma Technologies is seeking experienced Make Ready Designers to support overhead pole design and joint-use engineering for major electric and telecommunications utilities.

The role focuses on evaluating existing pole conditions, applying NESC clearance requirements, identifying attachment conflicts, and developing construction-ready make-ready designs with remote work options. In-person orientation at Perrysburg, OH will be required for new hires.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in make-ready or joint-use design.
• Experience with utility pole design and NESC application.
• Proficiency with CAD or MicroStation; DDS/Katapult/O-Calc preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete make-ready and overhead pole design work orders.
• Review field data, pole information, attachments and conditions.
• Evaluate joint-use attachments, NESC clearances and required modifications.
• Develop construction-ready make-ready designs including pole changes.
• Apply NESC and client design criteria to projects.
• Support permitting and easement research as needed.
• Collaborate to resolve design conflicts and field discrepancies.
• Perform quality-control reviews of deliverables.
