Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Driller Helper to support geotechnical drilling operations on-site in Murfreesboro, TN. You will assist with borings, Geoprobe work, and routine maintenance while collecting samples and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• No prior work experience required (0 years).
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to read maps and interpret engineering/construction plans.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and safety mindedness required.
• Willingness to travel overnight for project work.

Responsibilities

• Assist drilling operations including borings and Geoprobe work.
• Locate boring positions using maps, plans, or GPS.
• Record required drilling data accurately.
• Report project issues to Project Manager or Supervisor.
• Perform routine maintenance on drill rigs and support trucks; report needs.
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Load drill rigs and supplies daily.
• Complete timesheets and field documentation promptly.
• Care for and clean company vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain professional behavior and quality standards.
• Work out of town and on non-standard schedules as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
