Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Senior Driller to perform advanced geotechnical drilling on moderate complexity projects. You will operate Geoprobe and drilling equipment, collect subsurface data, and mentor junior staff in the field, primarily in the Tennessee region and beyond as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer service while adhering to ECS core values. Overnight travel and non-standard schedules may be required, with a strong focus on field execution.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related drilling experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with GPS systems and field data collection.
• Hands-on experience with drill rigs, push rigs, sampling methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform drilling operations including borings and CPT data collection.
• Operate Geoprobe and drill rigs; adjust parameters and monitor progress.
• Mentor and train Driller Helpers and Drillers.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Record data and prepare field reports per standards.
• Travel for out-of-town assignments as required.
