Job summary

UES, Inc. is hiring a Driller's Assistant to support geotechnical drilling operations, equipment handling, and site investigations. You will assist the drill crew chief, assemble/disassemble equipment, and ensure testing and drilling meet project specifications.

The role is outdoors, requires mechanical aptitude and safety awareness, with travel up to 70%, including overnight stays. High school diploma required; OSHA 40hr preferred; CDL a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 40-hour training preferred; must be able to pass and maintain OSHA 40HR certification.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Collect and conduct testing of soil, concrete, and other materials to project specs.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment per policies.
• Operate drilling tools and equipment, and assist with rig setup and site prep.
• Complete daily time and labor reports and submit paperwork on time.
• Travel to job sites within region; possible overnight/weekend shifts.
