Job summary

State of Missouri seeks a Medical Officer to serve on MO-1 DMAT, supervising medical care and triage during disasters. You will direct physicians, PAs, NPs, and other staff, ensuring timely, evidence-based treatment and coordination with other medical teams.

Applicants must Hold a Missouri medical license and current ACLS/ATLS/PALS certifications, with NIMS ICS training completed. Strong leadership and crisis-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid Missouri Physician’s license to practice in Missouri.
• NDMS Response Team experience or equivalent to GS-08 level.
• ACLS, ATLS, PALS, CPR certifications required.
• Completion of NIMS ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-700, ICS-800.

Responsibilities

• Serve as triage medical officer in initial emergency operations.
• Supervise direct medical care and administer treatments for disaster victims.
• Oversee medical staff and coordinate services with other medical teams.
• Provide detailed patient assessments, basic/advanced life support, and referrals as needed.
• Identify conditions requiring urgent surgical intervention and arrange referrals.
