Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a confident, adaptable Supervisor, Ambulance Services to lead and coordinate emergency response operations across multiple bases in Boone County, MO. You will motivate staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and manage staffing and equipment to meet urgent demands.

The role requires Paramedic licensure, a Missouri driver license, and 3+ years pre-hospital experience, with ICS certifications.

Qualifications

• Paramedic licensure (EMT-P or EMT-CP) with Missouri DHSS.
• Driver license class E or higher for Missouri residents.
• Minimum 3 years of pre-hospital paramedic experience.
• ICS-300 Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents certification (FEMA) or state-issued within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with projects and administrative duties as assigned.
• Counsel and coach staff; manage disciplinary processes and payroll-related attendance.
• Manage utilization of Ambulance Services vehicles and equipment during shifts.
• Respond to all high-priority pre-hospital emergency calls.
• Integrate pre-hospital responses into NIMS/ICS with local agencies.
• Develop, coordinate and maintain daily staffing schedules for unit coverage.
• Monitor time and attendance per MU Health Care policies; ensure payroll accuracy.
• Complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.
