Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic within the Customer Equipment Solutions (CES) team. You will perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment with limited supervision, using advanced mechanical skills and a strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities include on-site diagnostics, documentation of work orders, and travel to customer locations to service equipment and parts. A valid driver’s license and a 3–5 year background in repair/maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines; own tools required.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and work orders daily.
• Travel to customer sites for repairs; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
