Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, seeks a Field Diesel Mechanic - CES to maintain and repair customer-owned equipment with limited supervision. You’ll travel to job sites, document work, and demonstrate equipment while delivering exceptional service.

This role offers growth toward Service Technician and leadership roles within the Service Department. A safety-conscious mindset and strong communication will help you excel in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work orders in a complete and timely manner.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
