Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic for our Customer Equipment Solutions (CES) group. You will perform maintenance and repairs on client-owned equipment with minimal supervision while upholding safety and quality standards.

Travel to customer sites is required to service equipment and deliver exceptional customer service. You will support training for junior techs and ensure accurate documentation of all work orders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of equipment maintenance/repair experience.
• Own tools applicable to position; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Travel to customer job sites for repairs; maintain service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Document work orders and service reports promptly and accurately.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of equipment to customers.
