Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, seeks a Field Diesel Mechanic - CES to maintain and repair customer-owned equipment with minimal supervision. You will work across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems in diverse sites, ensuring safety and quality while documenting work orders daily.

You'll travel to customer sites, demonstrate equipment, and assist with parts delivery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Own tools applicable to position.
• Strong mechanical background and engine knowledge.
• Superior customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment on customer-owned assets with minimal supervision.
• Document work orders daily in paper/electronic form.
• Upsell and demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer sites; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
