Job summary

Siemens Energy Limited is seeking an Electrical Diagnostics Engineer to perform high- and low-voltage diagnostic testing on generators at customer sites across the UK and overseas. The role is home-based with travel to outages and breakdowns, delivering detailed analysis and technical recommendations.

You will develop testing protocols, interpret results, and discuss findings with customers and engineers, while coordinating with subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient testing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical diagnostic testing on generators.
• Experience with HV and LV testing.
• Ability to interpret test data and prepare technical reports.
• Strong communication with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostic testing, including HV/LV testing, on Siemens Energy generators at customer sites in the UK and overseas.
• Support outages and breakdown investigations, identifying issues, risks and mitigations.
• Develop and apply testing protocols aligned with industry standards and customer specs.
• Analyse test results and produce technical reports with recommendations.
• Discuss findings with engineering teams, customers and contractors, providing technical advice.
• Manage work packages and competing priorities while following quality, HSE processes.
• Travel extensively across the UK and overseas to sites.
