Job summary

City of Muskogee is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, mobile devices, and software applications for City employees. This entry-level role emphasizes customer service, data integrity, and collaboration with the IT Director.

A high school diploma and at least two years of technical experience are required, with occasional travel to different City locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in a technical or database support position.
• Preference for land/parcel management or Central Square Naviline experience.
• Knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.
• Ability to work well with City offices and external partners to maintain data integrity.
• Customer service oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and supports desktop computers, mobile devices, software applications, and related systems.
• Provides hardware/software support for workstations, printers, and attached equipment.
• Supports network troubleshooting and repair.
• Supports Microsoft Office and other PC-based applications.
• Operates office equipment and learns new technologies as developed.
