Job summary

Base Power is seeking a Deployment Engineer (Product Launch) to take our newest hardware from prototype to full-scale deployment. You will track field issues, feed back to engineering, and decide when fixes are ready to ship, acting as the bridge between engineers, field crews, and deployment operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a hardware-adjacent technical role.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams and reason about issues.
• Experience tracking a product from prototype through production.
• Strong documentation habits for defects, builds and playbooks.
• Proven track record writing up hardware and software issues that engineers trust.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on hardware/field experience.

Responsibilities

• Track new hardware products through each phase of introduction and flag blockers.
• Log defects, spot trends across installs, and push high-impact issues to engineering.
• Partner with hardware, firmware, and software teams to validate fixes before rollout.
• Own prototype build and defect tracking processes with linked records.
• Support field crews during installs and service calls involving new hardware.
• Write and maintain rollout playbooks and defect logs for future pilots.
• Report on hardware readiness and known issues to engineering and leadership.
