Job summary

Base Power, America’s next-generation power company, is seeking a Deployment Engineer (Product Launch) to bring new hardware from prototype to full-scale rollout, tracking field issues and defining fixes with engineering.

You will bridge engineers, field crews, and deployment operations, gaining a full-stack view of hardware and software, owning defect logs and rollout playbooks, and helping shape what ships next. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and central to Base Power's growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a hardware-adjacent technical role
• Able to read electrical/mechanical diagrams
• Experience with phase-gate processes
• Strong documentation habits
• Proven track record turning field learnings into product decisions
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Familiarity with Grafana/Jira/Retool or quick learner
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced pilots
• Team player focused on the mission

Responsibilities

• Track new hardware products through each phase from pilot to rollout.
• Log defects, identify trends across installs, and escalate issues.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to validate fixes.
• Own prototype build and defect-tracking processes with linked records.
• Support field crews during installs and service calls for new hardware.
• Write and maintain rollout playbooks and defect logs.
• Report hardware readiness and known issues to engineering leadership.
• Communicate clearly under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Protect timely delivery while ensuring quality and safety.
