Job summary

Wavetronix in the United States is seeking two National Field Data Collection Technicians to travel nationwide installing and testing traffic sensing gear. After a 2-month paid training in Utah, you will spend about 7 months on the road with a teammate gathering real-world data and flying drones while coordinating with engineering.

The role requires hands-on field work, strong safety awareness, and the ability to live on the road, with training provided for drones and data collection procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to travel extensively for about 9 months.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to obtain FAA Remote Pilot Certificate during training.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout the U.S. as part of a two-person field team.
• Drive a company vehicle and plan travel routes.
• Set up and operate traffic sensors, cameras, and other equipment.
• Collect, organize, and transfer field data.
• Fly drones for approved data collections (training provided).
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Communicate with the engineering team.
• Work safely in varying weather and traffic conditions.
