Job summary

TSMG Holding in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Technical Field Specialist to coordinate in-field programs, collect data hands-on, and guide field operators to keep operations running smoothly and meeting requirements set by the Field Operations Manager and Client Engineers.

Responsibilities include preparing pilot requests, documenting workflows, conducting in-field training, testing device configurations, debugging issues, and delivering timely status updates while collaborating with client

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or 2–3 years of testing or support experience.
• At least 1 year of QA testing or technical support experience with mobile applications.
• Familiarity with mobile and web technologies, and Google Sheets/Excel.
• Strong verbal and written English communication and teamwork.
• Valid driver’s license for fieldwork at various locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake, staffing, and scheduling of new client pilot requests.
• Document and validate operational workflows.
• Conduct in-field operator training.
• Review device configuration requirements and connectivity.
• Communicate with project leads and client engineers for clarification.
• Ensure devices collect and transmit data to backend systems.
• Test, troubleshoot, and resolve device/backend setup issues before pilots.
• Open and track bugs with Client staff.
• Lead in-field data collection activities.
• Provide frequent status updates during field operations.
• Document pilot results and report downtimes and issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
