Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a hands-on Field Technician to install and replace large industrial batteries across data centers and telecom environments in Columbus, OH. You will work on a multi-site UPS project with travel to surrounding states, using basic hand tools and following strict safety procedures.

This contract-to-hire role is onsite in Columbus, with regular hours and potential overtime. Training provided by EnerSys and field exposure to DC power are included as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience with installation, cabling, or field tech work.
• Comfort with physical labor and lifting heavy equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace large industrial batteries (110-120 lbs each).
• Work inside data centers and telecom facilities.
• Use basic hand tools to install and secure equipment.
• Run and support cabling and hardware connections.
• Follow work orders, safety procedures, and installation standards.
• Assist with troubleshooting and ensuring systems are properly installed.
