Weave, a high-growth SF-based company, seeks a Field CTO to be the technical face of the business, shaping how engineering productivity is measured in the AI era. You will speak at conferences and advise CTOs/VPs of Engineering, driving awareness and trust while influencing product direction.

You'll move the business without quotas, building credibility and a strong network of customers and partners, with regular travel to conferences and customer sites.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering with senior leadership roles (CTO/VP/Field CTO).
• Deep expertise in developer productivity, DORA, SPACE, and DevEx for AI-era teams.
• Exceptional writing and ability to influence audiences with essays or posts.
• Executive credibility: CTOs and VPs of Engineering respect your guidance.
• You build playbooks and move quickly; self-directed and delivery-focused.
• Based in San Francisco with regular travel to conferences and customers.

Responsabilités

• Be Weave's face in the field: keynotes, conference talks, panels, and meetups.
• Advise engineering executives as a trusted, vendor-neutral advisor during evaluations and deals.
• Partner with sales to translate Weave's offerings into executive narratives.
• Feed field insights back into product and influence the roadmap.
• Build and nurture a community of engineering leaders and champions.
• Adapt to varying days: keynote, rollout planning, or crafting talks.
