Job description

Job Title: Crew Lead (Data Center Construction)

Employment Type: Full-Time, W2

Schedule: Swing Shift (M-F, 2:00 PM-10:00 PM)

Role Overview

We are hiring a Field Crew Lead to run day-to-day crew activity within an industrial field operations environment in Reno, Nevada, on behalf of a leading industrial general contracting construction firm. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for directing daily work, assigning tasks, sequencing activities, managing crew pace, coordinating access requests, and serving as the frontline connection between field personnel and the Operations Superintendent.

The supervisor will also lead shift-start huddles, toolbox talks, crew coaching, and shift handoffs while maintaining required logs and documentation. They will work closely with EHS, site operations, client representatives, and trade partners to identify hazards, resolve operational issues, communicate changing field conditions, and pause or modify work when safety or operating thresholds are exceeded.

This is not a primarily administrative or office-based supervisory role. The strongest candidate will be comfortable leading directly from the field, making real-time decisions, enforcing safety requirements, mentoring crew members, and taking clear ownership of daily execution.

Why This Role?
  • Your in with the data center industry — One of the fastest-growing, most in-demand sectors in construction. This role gives you direct, hands-on experience that makes you highly marketable as the industry continues to expand.
  • Large hyperscale end client — Work on-site for a major hyperscale data center client, gaining exposure to mission-critical construction standards well above typical industry expectations.
  • Long-term stability, not project-to-project — This is a full-time W2 position, not a short-term gig or 1099 contract, giving you the security of steady, ongoing work.
  • Full benefits package — Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), plus PTO — a complete package that’s competitive in field construction roles.
  • Real growth trajectory — Join a specialty data center construction company as they continue to grow aggressively in the industry. Strong performers are positioned to grow into larger crew leadership, relief/floater, or superintendent-track roles.
  • Leadership with real authority — You are responsible for the safe execution of work, direct crew sequencing and pace, and serve as the key link between the field and the Operations Superintendent.
