Job summary

Lift Solutions Holdings, based in Kalamazoo, MI, seeks a Crane Service Technician to install, inspect, and repair overhead crane systems. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to breakdowns, supporting customers with technical expertise on electrical and mechanical aspects.

Role requires 2-5 years’ experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel locally to customer sites.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment is required.
• Thorough electrical knowledge of 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
• Local travel to customers on a daily basis required.
• Ability to work at height, in extreme temperatures and noisy locations.

Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
• Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
• Support customers by interfacing with customers and internal departments in repairing equipment as needed.
• Perform electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.
• Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
• Responsible for company equipment including, company vehicle(s), trailers, tools, etc.
