Job summary

Lift Solutions Holdings, LLC in Iron Mountain, MI is seeking a Crane Technician to install, inspect, maintain and repair hoist and crane equipment at customer sites. The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical work and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

You will perform inspections to OSHA criteria, troubleshoot breakdowns, and complete warranty work while maintaining professional communication with customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Previous overhead crane and scissor lift experience.
• Associate’s degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
• Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
• Support customers by interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.
• Perform electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
• Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.
• Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
• Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
• Responsible for company equipment including, company vehicle(s), tools, etc.
