Job summary

The Manitowoc Company in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Field Support Engineer to work on Grove crane systems, guiding distributor crews through safe rigging, assisting with commissioning and diagnosing electrical issues on-site.

You will collaborate with Product Service Managers, prepare thorough service reports, and travel up to 75% to customer sites domestically and internationally, while upholding strict safety standards and providing on-going technical training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 2+ years mechanical or electrical experience, or technical degree plus 1+ year.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Safety-conscious with PPE and 480V systems training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rigging, troubleshooting, and repair of Manitowoc equipment on jobsites.
• Support safe crane assembly and commissioning.
• Provide technical training guidance to distributors and Product Service Managers.
• Prepare detailed service, timecards, and expense reports.
• Investigate issues and recommend product or process improvements.
• Document service activities and maintain safety standards.
