Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is seeking a Human Services Technician in Hillsboro to assist CPI investigations, transport clients, supervise visits, and perform clerical duties. The role supports DFPS staff and partners with community organizations.

Applicants must meet education and experience criteria, own a reliable vehicle, and be willing to travel up to 75% of the time.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• One-year full-time social services, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, general office, or FPS experience.
• Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for clients to and from appointments as requested by caseworkers and/or Unit Supervisor.
• Observes and/or supervises parent and child visits.
• Completes forms and documentation concerning client contact including data entry into IMPACT and other agency systems.
• Maintains outgoing appointment calendar for scheduling requests by caseworkers/supervisor.
• Performs clerical duties (typing, filing, faxing, copying, phones).
• Promotes respect for cultural diversity among coworkers and contacts.
• Attends work regularly per agency policy.
