The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) seeks a bilingual Human Services Technician for CPS CVS Unit in Harlingen, TX. The role supports caseworkers with transportation, supervises visits, and handles clerical duties, documentation, and data entry.

75% travel required and full-time hours with state benefits. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and some social services or clerical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• One year of full-time social services, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, general office, or FPS experience.
• Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for clients to and from appointments as requested by caseworkers and/or Unit Supervisor.
• Observes and supervises parent and child visits.
• Completes forms and documents client contact, including data entry into agency systems.
• Maintains outgoing paper and/or electronic appointment calendars for scheduling requests.
