Job summary

KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Cost Accountant to support field-based project cost accounting, procurement, and administrative needs for environmental remediation and construction projects. Travel to multiple project locations is required.

The role ensures project costs, documentation, and reporting are accurate and timely, with interaction across project managers, vendors, and corporate staff. Strong Excel and ERP familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of administrative, accounting, project support, or related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Experience supporting ERRS projects required.
• Experience supporting environmental remediation, construction, government, or field-based projects required.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently in a fast-paced project environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with clients, vendors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Track and reconcile project costs (labor, materials, subcontractors).
• Prepare and reconcile contractor daily cost reports and RCMS for EPA projects.
• Maintain project timekeeping, invoices, receipts, mileage, and per diem.
• Update burn schedules and support budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting.
• Procure project materials and subcontracted services; obtain quotes.
• Initiate and maintain purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Process vendor invoices and coordinate project supplies.
