Job summary

KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Cost Accountant to support field-based cost accounting, procurement, and project documentation on environmental remediation and construction projects across multiple states.

The role requires tracking costs, managing purchase orders, invoices, and cost reports, with heavy travel (up to 100%) and collaboration with project managers, vendors, and clients in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in administrative, accounting, project support, or related role.
• Proficiency with Excel and Office suite; SharePoint experience helpful.
• Experience supporting ERRS projects and field-based projects preferred.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Track and reconcile project costs including labor, equipment, materials, and subs.
• Prepare and reconcile contractor daily cost reports and RCMS for EPA projects.
• Maintain project timekeeping, invoices, receipts, and per diem records.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting activities.
• Procure materials and subcontracted services; obtain quotes and compare costs.
• Initiate purchase orders and change orders; manage vendor contacts.
• Process invoices and coordinate project supplies and site needs.
• Maintain project files and upload records to SharePoint and client systems.
• Support Project Managers and field personnel; communicate with clients and vendors.
• Ensure timely and accurate project documentation submission.
