Job summary

Seven Seas Water Group seeks a highly skilled Controls/Startup Engineer to lead the field commissioning, startup, and ongoing support of water treatment and desalination plants. The role involves hands-on PLC/HMI work, network configuration, and field panel modifications, with significant travel across the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America.

Candidates should have 5+ years in industrial controls, experience with Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View, and be willing to travel up to 75% while residing

Qualifications

• Hands-on PLC programming experience in industrial settings.
• Experience in field service, commissioning, startup, or plant support roles.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs; perform redlines.

Responsibilities

• Program, modify, and commission PLC systems (Allen-Bradley Logix) in the field.
• Develop and commission HMI/SCADA displays and alarms.
• Lead startup activities including I/O checkout and commissioning tests.
• Configure plant networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP) and remote access.
• Coordinate with contractors and perform field panel modifications.
