Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission automation control systems for water, wastewater, and manufacturing environments. You will own projects from planning through field installation and startup, applying troubleshooting skills and strong attention to detail.

The role involves travel to local sites up to 25% annually and collaboration with a small engineering team in a fast-growing company environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree or 2–5 years of equivalent automation experience.
• At least 2 years of PLC and HMI/SCADA programming experience.
• Proficient with Rockwell, Siemens, GE, Modicon, Emerson Control Wave, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design automation control systems based on customer specifications and project requirements.
• Program PLCs and HMIs; develop new programs from scratch.
• Specify equipment and materials using calculations and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics and P&ID drawings for design and commissioning.
