Job summary

Veolia Water Tech is seeking a senior technical specialist to support water treatment plants across North America and internationally. You will participate in design reviews, perform PLC/HMI testing, and drive commissioning activities with clients and field teams.

The role requires extensive travel (70–80%), strong analytical skills, and hands-on supervision of commissioning, startup and optimization of complex water treatment systems. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

5+ years in water treatment with broad technical knowledge.
Willingness to travel 70-80% (~250 days/year) across North America and beyond.
Expert knowledge of RO, Ion Exchange, and Thermal systems.
Strong water chemistry knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
Ability to work independently with remote cross-functional project teams.

Responsibilities

Participate in Model Reviews, Engineering Design Meetings and Safety in Design reviews to ensure equipment accessibility, maintenance and operability.
Perform control system factory acceptance tests with clients and client-designated representatives.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to improve operations.
Develop and execute Commissioning Schedules and Performance Plans for Water Treatment Plants.
