Job summary

Ebara Elliott Energy is seeking a Controls Engineer – Field Service to provide customers with technical advice, analyze system controls, and modify programming to ensure equipment operates per design. The role centers on PLCs, HMI, and non-OEM control systems on rotating equipment, with travel across North America.

You will document work with site reports, coordinate with internal teams, and support commissioning and acceptance testing at user locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution with 10 years of field controls experience, or proven experience on HMI interfaces and development, and DCS or PLC based control systems and PLC programming.
Has a minimum of six years of applicable engineering experience; prior field experience installing and commissioning controls systems at user sites is a significant plus.
Technical knowledge of a function, product, or process, intensive knowledge of policies and procedures, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Independently directs the field installation and commissioning of EEE and non-OEM supplied control systems.
Verifies accurate instrument calibrations.
Performs instrument loop and point-to-point wiring checks.
Verifies logic functions work as intended.
Coordinates logic and programming changes with Controls Engineering when issues are discovered.
Provides timely site job reports and status updates to supervision.
