Job summary

Ebara Elliott Energy seeks a Controls Engineer – Field Service to lead installation, testing, and commissioning of control systems at customer sites across North America. You will analyze PLC code, perform electrical and instrumentation checks, and produce professional reports detailing field activities.

The role requires a BS in engineering with extensive field controls experience, familiarity with HMI/DCS/PLC systems, and the ability to work with both OEM and non-OEM equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering with 10 years of field controls experience.
• Experience with HMI interfaces, DCS or PLC-based control systems, and PLC programming.
• Preferred: 6+ years of relevant engineering experience and field experience installing/commissioning controls at user sites.
• Knowledge of API and ANSI regulatory requirements is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct field installation and commissioning of control systems for Ebara Elliott Energy and non-OEM equipment.
• Coordinate, follow up, and provide technical expertise to users on engineered control systems.
• Verify instrument calibrations and perform instrument loop and wiring checks.
• Validate PLC logic and programming changes with Controls Engineering when issues arise.
• Provide timely site reports and status updates to supervision.
• Document all logic and software changes in field service reports for customers.
• Maintain programming skills across OEM PLCs via lab testing and vendor training.
• Travel 70-80% across North America.
