Job summary

R&E Automated Systems is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with Ignition software expertise for nationwide field service operations. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial control systems across customer sites in the United States.

The ideal candidate has strong PLC programming skills, deep knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to travel extensively. A valid driver’s license is required, and aviation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in industrial automation and controls.
• Proficient in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens).
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize control systems at customer locations.
• Lead project teams in planning, executing, and delivering automation projects.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Develop and maintain control system documentation and specifications.
• Perform system upgrades and modifications to automation systems.
• Commission new control systems and equipment.
• Define project scope and requirements with customers.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Train customer personnel on system operation and maintenance.
• Travel to customer sites across the United States.
