Job summary

KPI Solutions is seeking a Controls Engineer to participate in electrical control design and commissioning, applying PLC programming and integration standards developed by KPI Solutions. You will be hands-on with design, testing, and field deployment while supporting customers and aligning with business strategy.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of controls experience, travel up to 60%, and familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, GE, and Square D systems.

Qualifications

• B.S. Electrical Engineering or trade school equivalent in PLC/Controls Engineering or combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years controls field installation/commissioning.
• Experience with designing, commissioning and troubleshooting controls systems (Rockwell, Siemens, GE, Square D, etc.).
• Knowledge of industrial controls networks (Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet).
• Capable of managing stressful situations and maintaining strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines, wear appropriate PPE and be safety first oriented.
• Follow standards set forth by KPI Solutions.
• Understand project schedules and scope of work.
• Understand project requirements, specifications, and equipment functionality.
• Contribute to the team and be capable of reacting to change.
• Communicate well and often with Project Managers and/or Controls Manager.
• Complete defined tests from KPI Solutions standard testing documents and check sheets.
• Communicate well with customers during testing processes.
• Ensure quality of field installations.
• All other tasks as directed by management.
