Job summary

Yates Construction is seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations for a defined project scope. You will coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure safety, schedule, and quality while managing budget adherence.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in CM/engineering and at least six years of leadership experience with scope values over $1M. Proficiency in reading drawings and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in CM, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: minimum six years in construction leadership roles.
• Experience managing scopes over $1M and strong planning/scheduling knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors, directing trades on site.
• Plan manpower and schedule field activities; lead toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Manage safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team.
• Oversee site logistics, equipment, and weekly trade activities.
• Review quantity takeoffs and manage buyout processes for scopes.
• Lead meetings, participate in owner meetings, and support CPM scheduling.
• Close-out, punch list management, and project handover activities.
