Job summary

Yates Construction Co. is seeking a Superintendent to monitor, direct, and coordinate all field operations for a defined scope, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and budget goals while mentoring junior team members.

You will collaborate with project management and engineers to form an effective management team. You will lead preconstruction meetings, plan manpower, manage safety and compliance, oversee site equipment, review drawings, drive CPM scheduling, and steer project close-out and punch

Qualifications

• University degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field desirable.
• Minimum six years of industry experience.
• Experience managing a scope of work valued over $1MM.
• Strong understanding of planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, manuals, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with project owner reps, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Plan manpower and schedule activities onsite.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety management.
• Manage safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project.
• Develop site logistics plan and scopes of work.
• Review progress and develop recovery plans as needed.
• Oversee CPM scheduling and short-term look-ahead.
• Oversee project close-out and punch list procedures.
