Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions in Wharton, NJ is seeking a Construction Superintendent to support the Construction Manager, oversee field operations, and manage start-up and close-out of multiple projects. You will coordinate with customer Project Managers, subcontractors, and vendors, develop schedules, review submittals, and ensure QA/QC and safety requirements are followed.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, 10+ years of commercial construction experience with 5+ years in supervision,

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience on commercial construction projects, including five years in supervision.
• Experience developing construction schedules and coordinating sub-contractors.
• 30 Hour OSHA safety certification (Current).

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-bid and pre-construction site visits.
• Supervise all field construction.
• Participate in RFP review and proposal development.
• Solicits material vendors/suppliers and subcontractors for cost proposals and reviews these proposals for accuracy and completeness IAW project requirements.
• Assists team in source selection for vendors/suppliers/subcontractors.
• Participates in schedule development.
• Coordinates material lead times and deliveries for proper sequencing.
• Updates construction schedule daily to document progress and delays.
• Provides answers to technical questions that arise in the field.
