Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, and safety oversight on client projects.

This 100% field position works at client sites and may be deployed nationwide. You will coordinate with the site construction lead, produce daily and quality reports, and ensure drawings and specifications are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience in Construction Management/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with site construction lead on scheduling, daily/quality reports, and subcontractor communications.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and conformity to drawings.
• Maintain project schedule adherence and escalate delays to leadership.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for record keeping.
• Take progress photos and label each image for documentation.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and maintain records per policy.
• Ensure use of the latest design drawings in construction.
• Support Project Manager with contract extras and progress payments.
• Communicate clearly with management and clients on project issues.

Education
