Job summary

Environmental and Safety Solutions Inc is seeking a Construction Safety Associate to safeguard workers on a major project in Ohio. The role emphasizes a strong field presence to monitor safety conditions, enforce site rules, and coordinate with superintendents and subcontractors to foster a proactive safety culture.

Daily inspections, hazard identification, and real-time corrective actions are required, along with leading toolbox talks and safety meetings.

Qualifications

• OSHA 510 Preferred or additional experience.
• Local to the project preferred, per diem available if not local.
• 5 to 7 years of construction safety management experience.
• Ability to start this project as soon as possible.
• Must have excellent writing and computer skills.
• Great communication - written & verbal.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong field presence (90%+ of time) to monitor job site safety conditions and behaviors.
• Conduct daily site walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions in real time.
• Partner with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-task planning sessions.
