Qualifications

Role Description

The Safety Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Cincinnati Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for monitoring and promoting safe work practices across site construction projects, conducting regular site inspections, and identifying potential hazards. The Safety Specialist will develop and deliver safety training, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate safety documentation and reports. Daily tasks include supporting project teams with job safety analyses, participating in incident and near-miss investigations, recommending corrective actions, and collaborating with supervisors to continuously improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills, including familiarity with construction-related regulations and best practices.
• Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) knowledge, including risk assessment and implementation of site-specific safety programs.
• Candidates should possess Safety Training skills, with the ability to develop and deliver clear, engaging training for diverse field teams.
• Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including root cause analysis and documentation of incidents and corrective actions.
• Relevant qualifications such as OSHA certifications, EHS or safety-related coursework, or professional safety designations (e.g., CHST, CSP) are beneficial.
• Experience in construction or civil infrastructure environments, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on active job sites are preferred.
