Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to support Data Center Planning and Delivery, partnering with Real Estate, Permitting, and Construction teams to drive health & safety improvements across AWS projects.

You will lead field safety programs, manage contractor safety, and ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements and AWS SMP standards. This role requires extensive field presence and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
• 8+ years of construction health & safety experience on active construction projects.
• 4+ years experience leading EHS programs on construction projects.
• Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) Certification

Responsibilities

• Work in the field on construction projects around Central Oregon five days per week.
• Occasional travel to other domestic locations may be required.
• Influence program development, framework and strategy while deploying programs in the field.
• Implement health and safety programs across leadership, planning, support, controls and performance management.
• Ensure construction activities meet jurisdictional requirements and AWS SMP standards.
• Audit projects to verify processes and data, identify risks and opportunities, and report at project/regional levels.
• Conduct regular site visits with H&S consultants, managers and regional teams.
• Lead project safety kickoff sessions and annual performance reviews with contractors and AWS teams.
• Document data and anecdotes in standard reporting tools for leadership reviews.
