Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States (Baltimore, MD area) seeks a Construction Safety Manager to lead H&S programs across field construction projects.

You will partner with internal DCPD teams and external contractors to deploy AWS Safety Management Program requirements and ensure regulatory compliance. You will influence program strategy, perform field site visits, review risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement in H&S practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of managing food safety and quality in a large-scale retail or manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
• Knowledge of retail food code and regulations governing grocery retail at local, state, and federal levels.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Experience interacting with local food safety regulators.

Responsibilities

• Review due diligence risk assessments with real estate, preconstruction, construction operations on H&S aspects of the AWS H&S management program to ensure adequate implementation.
• Coordinate with DCPD managers to prioritize H&S in planning and execution in all phases of DCPD projects.
• Ensure & monitor General Contractors and AWS deployment vendors compliance to onboarding requirements in Avetta.
• Conduct site H&S kickoff sessions and reviews of Construction Safety Management Plans.
